I am a consulting researcher at Oracle Labs. My work focuses on virtual machines, compilers and programming languages. I work on SubstrateVM, which is a virtual machine that is designed for fast startup and small footprint. SubstrateVM is the technology behind native images in GraalVM, a high-performance multi-language runtime. See my recent activity on GitHub and my publications on DBLP.

During my Ph.D. studies at the Johannes Kepler University Linz, I researched efficient and effective approaches for profiling method calls and lock contention on the Java virtual machine level. Find my thesis on the JKU website (download link at the bottom).
